Please help! I need help with deleted users in Server 2008
Hi Everyone, I am the admin for a company running Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard with about 10 users. This morning I accidentally reset my organizational units deleting all users from the system (their files are still there but they're no longer able to log in and all the file ownerships are set to 'account unknown'). If the users who are currently logged in log out they will no longer be able to log back in. I have also tried creating a new user account and associating it with one of the original user's folders (giving the user ownership) but using this approach i will have to manually set up all the user's personal settings (i.e. email, favourites, etc) one by one. What's the best way to go about resolving this problem? Is there an easier way? Kind Regards, Kyle

Do a restore from the Recycle Bin if you are at that forest level. If not post the question in the AD forums. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverDS/threadsMark Morowczynski|MCT| MCSE 2003:Messaging, Security|MCITP:EMA 2K7,EDA Win 7,ES,SA,EA|MCTS:Windows Mobile Admin|Security+|http://almostdailytech.com
