Pivot Table Filter

Hi,

When I create a pivot table, is there a way to quickly select a set number of specified items aside from manually checking each in the filter drop down?

Thanks

Use Slicer, or macro, or groups, or PowerPivot Filter, or oodles of other ways.
Depends on the structure of your data and your definition of easy and/or fast.

Hi A_Shannon,

Which version of excel are you using?

With your question, if you are using excel 2010 or 2013, Slicer is the best choose for getting your result.

Slicers provide buttons that you can click to filter PivotTable data. In addition to quick filtering, slicers also indicate the current filtering state, which makes it easy to understand what exactly is shown in a filtered PivotTable report. When you select an item, that item is included in the filter and the data for that item will be displayed in the report. For example, when you select Callahan in the Salespersons field, only data that includes Callahan in that field are displayed.

Please refer to this article and get more information about Slicer.

If youre using other version of excel, or you wonder other methods to filter please tell me. If possible you can provide a sample about your question and Im glad to help and follow up your reply.
