A user attempted to send an 80MB attachment to a Hotmail account late yesterday. I have deleted all instances of the message from his inbox and deleted the message(s) from the outbound queue. However, the message keeps reappearing in the queue and causing severe performance issues with the Exchange server.

We need to login the user’s mailbox via MFCmapi.exe and double click mailbox. 2. There please find IPM_SUBTREE under “Root-Mailbox”. 3. Double click the outbox and then delete the item you find there. After that please restart Microsoft Exchange Mail Submission services and then check the issue again.
