Permissions Inheritance Block on OU - Email failure between on one email server
We're now using exchange 2003 in our organization. Until recently one of the sites (site M) was not using exchange. Site M now is using Exchange 2003. Our central site (Site C) uses exchange 2003 and one other location (site K) also uses Exchange.
Site K has 2 exchange servers in different locations in-country. Let's call them Site K-A and Site K-B.
After deploying exchange at Site M, we've had a peculiar problem occur. If a site M users sends emails to mailboxes that reside on Site K-A, then emails get thru, however sending to Site K-B from Site M, emails sit in a queue and never get thru.
I know I've probably not provided enough details here to fully understand the issue.
Running the exchange analzer tool, Site M reports the server at Site K-B as having a permission inheritance block. Also, all emails from Site M are supposed to be routing to both Site K servers via Site C.
What I'm trying to understand is why would the site M server not simply send the emails on to Site C to deal with, rather than hold on to the email in queue. Is there a check the Site M server is performing which is causing the email to sit in queue.
