Permission on Public Folder
My issue is on one of the Public Folders some users have the permission of Editor and others have the permission of Author. When the users with the Author permission try and change an event on the Calendar under public folders they can not. I can not change their permission because it is grayed out. We are using Exchange 2007 and outlook 2010. Any help would be great!

Hello,

As Microsoft allows to share a folder by creating  it as Public folder. But at the same time it too marks some limitations for the user. The real powers lie in the hands of the admin. He is the one who can provide various rights to the clients or owners.

So if you are working as a client, then you have to look for what all rights are provided to you, to make further changes in the folder.

Below is the link to the Technet page, which can surely help you in understanding the whole thing in a much better way .
