Hi All, I just want to know tht if we remove the Page.sys file and backup the server using Full Backup, then will be there any issue when I restore the backup which i have taken without the Page.sys file? because i just want to do this to reduce the disk capacity of the backups. if it is recommenede , then can i have the Microsoft article which talks about this scenario. I know that we can delet the page.sys file. when we restarting the server, the page.sys file creation is automatically happening. but i wanna know when we restoring the backup which dont have the page.sys file.? what will happen when we restore it? please help on this Thanks Hasitha

Ntbackup does not back up pagefile.sys file as it is temporary http://support.microsoft.com/kb/104169

Hi, Page.sys is a temp file which used by memory, you needn’t backup the file.
