PST import works fine, but no email accounts and no send/recieve

It seems I remember doing this in the past and it worked without a hitch.  But on my new computer install I open PST file and it adds it to data files properly.  But the send and receives updates nothing.  Then I notice under email accounts there is nothing.  Even though in the folder list are all the account.  Folders.

How do I get all those emails accounts to appear?

Also, I imported on PST tied to an IMAP folder and everything appeared in folder list, but once again that email account was no where to be found under "File..Account Settings.E-mail accounts"

Help

As far as know you will need to manually set email accounts once again and assign relevant PST files

How do I get all those emails accounts to appear

By configuring the email accounts. Adding any data file does not add the email account info to the profile.

You also don't mention Outlook version - OL'2013 has some changes when it comes to IMAP accounts and depending on your specific environment can have consequences if this involves 2 different Outlook installs on different machines - specifically data contained in folders with <This Computer Only> in their label (i.e. contacts/calendar)

If configuring a POP account - decide whether you want to use an existing PST file or creating a new one. There is no point in importing the PST file from a previous install for a POP account.

In terms of an IMAP account - there is also no point in importing the email folders under normal conditions. The data file related to email data will be automatically created and sync'd with the server. What you will need to take care of (if applicable) is your contact/calendar folders if you've been using IMAP accounts in OL'2010 or earlier.
