PST capture questions / how to get it work

Hello,

In my company we're trying to move couple of PST files to O365 enviroment. We're converting Notes mailfiles (NSF) to Outlook (PST) files and we would like to have them in hosted O365 enviroment

During installation of PST Capture Console tool, setup is asking for accout under which the service will run. There is a note that the account should have option to modify contents of mailboxes on Exchange server. But this local server where  iam isntalling or remote server. Because we're O365 customer, everything is in cloud, we don't host any mailboxes locally, we even dont have any Exchange server locally.

Do you have a clue how easy to setup the tool so we will be able easily upload all PST files to O365 enviroment ? Thanks!

The account needs to have Admin privileges in Exchange Online. Either make him a Global Admin, or add him to the Organization Management role. You can consult the Settings page on TechNet for more info: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh781032(v=exchg.141).aspx

Hello Vasil,

Thanks for quick answer. I will try to explain my situation.

I have a server with Win2008 R2 running as file server. On this file server I have 200 PST files which i would like to upload to Office365 enviroment. I don't have any Exchange locally installed. How to configure PST Capture (if it's possible even) to move these files to O365 enviroment...

Thanks !

Viktor
