PST Capture Tool and BPOS Exchange Online
Hi there, I have an unusual problem with the PST capture tool, I want to import some PSTs into BPOS (not migrated yet!!) I understand you need the BPOS migration tools installed which I have got installed - but when I go to the connection settings on the PST capture tool, enter my credentials and server, it tells me I need to install the BPOS migration tools - which already are installed! I am running fully 64-bit so i tried installing the 32-bit BPOS migration tools but this made no difference - I also tried logging into the migration tool first then PST Capture but still the same error. What am I doing wrong here?

Hi, Please make sure you follow the steps as Technet said: Import PSTs using PST Capture http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh781035.aspx By the way, for PST Capture issue, suggest you seek the solution in the 3rd Party Applications forum: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvr3rdpartyapps/threadsFrank Wang TechNet Community Support

Thanks but that technet article was already the one I was using and I had followed it to the letter. The issue came about at the point I tried to actually use the tool to connect to BPOS. I can't see why a tool produced by Microsoft is a 3rd Party tool! I have noticed others have had success posting in the Exchange forums regarding PST Capture tool issues, that is why I posted here. The issue is not important anymore as we migrate to Office365 in a couple of weeks anyway and we won't need the BPOS migration tools then. However I do not consider this issue "Answered" - someone else with this problem won't get a solution in this thread.
