PST Capture: slow import
Trying to figure out how to speed up the import process. Currently I am importing to an on premises Exchange server. Watching the Performance counters everything is in check, I've created a throttling policy with all null values for the service account that is doing the importing it didn't seem to help.

Five to ten messages per second isn't all that bad. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP

I am seeing terribly slow performance. I have terrabytes of data to import and this tool is so slow as to make it useless for our use. Is there any other method, short of using Outlook directly, to import PST files to Office 365? John

Have you tied importing the PST from the EMS? New-MailboxImportRequest -Mailbox "<Mailbox Name>" FilePath \\<server>\<share>\<file name>.pst BadItemLimit 50 View import progress: Get-MailboxImportRequest | Get-MailboxImportRequestStatistics | ft Name,TargetAlias,Percent*,BytesTransferred* -auto Also try putting the PST locally on the Mailbox server and running the above commands

If you have huge data then explain it to MS and ask them to run the above cmd New-MailboxImportRequest -Mailbox "<Mailbox Name>" FilePath \\<server>\<share>\<file name>.pst BadItemLimit 5000Regards, Prabhat Nigam XHG and AD Architect and DR Expert Website: msexchangeguru.com VBC: https://www.mcpvirtualbusinesscard.com/VBCServer/wizkid/card
