POP and Outlook Anywhere at the same time on the same mailbox
Hi, I have one mailbox accessed simultaneously using POP3 and Outlook AnyWhere. Is there a way to specify that a message retrieved by the POP3 client is not marked as read in the Outlook client ? Server : Exchange 2007 Thanks Christian

That would be a client setting. So check in your POP3 client if you can set that.

Humm, I'd rather say a server setting, if it exists : when POPing a mailbox, the Exchange server considers the message has been read and so set it as read (and thus is seen as read in Outlook). AFAIK, the POP3 client can only specify to leave a copy of the message on the server.

I believe the only way to prevent that is to select an option on the client to download headers only or something similar.

Unfortunately, I need to download the whole message on the POP client. Ok, sorry, I am not aware of any settings on the Exchange 2007 side to prevent this. Can you use IMAP instead?

Indeed, that might be an option. I'm gonna dig up that way. Thank you for your help Andy.
