Hi Guys, Could you please help and answermeif you have encountered this kind of situation before and what's theeasiest way to solve it. I have pub1.edb and pub1.stm from Exchange 2003, and I have new Server with SBS2003 and was wandering if I can mountthese files from the old server to the new one. Mailboxes have been replicated from the old server, but the Public folders are not. The old Exchange has been deleted from the old server thereforeI cannot replicate the Public folders to the new server, but I still have edb files from old server. Could you please suggest to me the best way to getall thesepublic foldersto work in new server since the public folders contain lots of important information. Thank you in advance.

Issue description: How to restore the file in the physical files of public store when old exchange has already dismissed Method 1 (Create old server in the organization to start replica again): Notes: Please remember to use the old names for server a. Add old server back to domain b. Install exchange c. Restore store from backup tape and replicate data to new public folder store (Skip if you doesnt have) d. Create default public store and dismount/rename it, copy old public store to there Ensure old public store files are in the status of Clean shutdown a) Eseutil /mh Full file path b) Check state, if its Dirty Shutdown, please go on c) Eseutil /p Full file path-> eseutil /d Full file path d) Check state again e. Replicate the data to current server Perform the replication of public folder between servers Method 2 (Rebuild isolated environment to extract data): a. Build a DC as old exchange server and create old domain in a network which separates with internal LAN b. Perform the Forestprep and Domainprep, then install the exchange c. Create default public store and dismount/rename it, copy old public store to there Ensure old public store files state as method 1 d.
