PDF save options missing

I installed Visio 2010, activated it and it worked... it saved PDFs as expected and allowed us to select a page range to export as PDF. Then one day, it gave us a warning that we needed to activate. Oh well, I thought, and entered the activation info again and the message went away. It was around this time, the user says, that the PDF options disappeared. Now he needs to export all pages to PDF since there is no option to select a range, then he uses Acrobat to delete the pages he doesn't want. We've had a few people look at it, and found lots of instructions on the web that suggest we click "options" to choose a page range, but there is no longer any page range options or an "options" button when saving as PDF. Any ideas what happened?

Hi,

Save to PDF option is on top of customer request for features and Microsoft has fulfilled by providing Save as PDF and Save as XPS option built-in into Office 2010.

So, if the feature is not working properly, try to repair Office 2010 program. Please try to repair the Office programs from Add/Remove Programs (Windows XP) or Programs and Features (Windows Vista/Windows 7). Locate the Office program, right click it and choose Change. Then Repair.

Best Regards,

Sally Tang

I have the same issue with Visio 2010... repairing the installation and rebooting did not change anything - there still is no 'options' to be clicked in the 'Save as PDF' dialog. Any other suggestions?

I had the same issue using Microsoft Visio Standard 2010 until I realized the 'Create PDF/XPS Document' option was "hiding" under the 'Save & Send' File menu option. I didn't think to look there because I had no intention of sending the document to anyone after saving it as a PDF. I choose to blame poor menu structure rather than user error :-)
