Ox800CCC13 error after installing Windows 10 Home

Hi, I have been using Windows 8.1 and office 13 without issues for ever. I have 3 email accounts I download from, 2 pop and 1 Imap (Gmail). No issues sending or receiving.

Yesterday I upgraded my PC to Windows 10 and now I can only reply to messages. New messages from outlook get the error 0x800CCC13. When I run account setup the program that checks if the account is setup correctly sends and receives, it only when I try and send a new email, from any of my accounts.

I am using 64 bit windows on a Samsung Ultrabook touch screen and 32 bit Office 13.

I have run the inbox repair tool and tested the folders for hidden read receipts - and tried to set up new profiles etc.. but still the same error

.

Similar issues. Worked initially. I have like 6 imaps. Surface 2 tab. Having to cloud docs, dl to mobile device and send from there atm. So damm frustrating. Seen notes suggesting setting up a new profile but don't fully understand implications so want to avoid that if at all possible.

Hi,

Please run sfc /scannow from an elevated Command Prompt and reboot your computer afterwards:

  • Right click on the Start button of Windows and choose: Command Prompt (Admin).
    • If you dont see this, instead choose: Windows PowerShell (Admin)
  • Behind the prompt type: sfc /scannow
(note the space in the command)
  • Wait until the process completes.
  • Restart your computer.

Check if this helps.

Hi,

The cause is still unclear as far as I can tell, the System File Checker command I suggested scans all protected system files and replaces the incorrect versions with the correct Microsoft versions, this helps fix some system related issues.
