Owa 2013 unable to send read receipt

Dear all

I have an issue with OWA and read confirmation: my users don't have the preview pane and when someone receives an internal email that has "request read receipt" , he clicks on link "send the receipt" then the message is updated to "read receipt has been sent" but no message is sent. If you close and re open the email, you can still  confirm it as read.

The environment is Exchange 2013 CU8, but i tried on CU7 with same results, on another infrastructure.

Any suggestion is appreciated.

Hi,

Please check the following settings for this user in OWA 2013:

Please make sure it is not set to Never send a response. Additionally, please confirm whether the issue happens to all Exchange users. If all Exchange users encounter this issue, please install the latest Exchange 2013 CU9 to have a try.

Hi,

thank you for the message; I confirm that the option is "Ask me before sending a response" and it happens for all users and on many different Exchange infrastructures. (we tried CU7 and CU8)

The "funny" behaviour is that if you have the preview, you can correctly send the read receipt from the preview (so it seems working only from preview pane)
