Outlook won't automatically sign-in - prompts for password every time

Hi there,

I'm writing this request on behalf of my colleague. He's having trouble with his outlook - every time he opens the application he has to sign-in again, despite checking the box to remember the details. Any ideas on the issue?

We're using Outlook 2013, latest version as far as I know. Windows 8.1 - completely updated, connected to our network, no one else is having this issue except him. I'm about 90% sure he isn't on 365 so that shouldn't be an issue.

His account type is Microsoft Exchange.

He is not prompted to sign-in to any other office applications, just outlook.

Thanks.

Hi ,

Thank you for your question.

If you have permission, we would check there are same authentication way between your colleague and you as the following two snapshots:

Navigate Control Panel->Mail->choose your profile->click Properties->Email Accounts->choose your email account->click change->More setting->Security

Navigate Control Panel->Mail->choose your profile->click Properties->Email Accounts->choose your email account->click change->More setting->Connection->Exchange Proxy Setting

In addition, we could try to rebuild profile by the following link if we have enough permission:

http://support2.microsoft.com/kb/829918/en-us

If the issue persist or you dont have enough permission, we could ask Exchange administrator for help.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim
