Outlook webapp not accepting passwords

Hi,

We recently moved our exchange from Exchange 2007 to exchange 2013 and have been experiencing a problem with authentication to outlook web app. When you key in a password (correct password) you are taken back to the same log on page without any errors. If you key in a wrong password, you get an error message that the password is wrong but if you key in the correct password after that error it authenticates.

I find this very strange. Might anyone know why this would happen?

Hi,

1.Please check the authentication method in internal outlook anywhere settings .If it was set to basic then it will prompt for the password .Please set it to NTLM

2.Ensure you are having the autodiscover name and internal outlook anywhere name are mentioned on the internet proxy exceptions.

Hi Anil,

Thanks for the response. Would these settings affect outlook webapp? We actually don't have a problem with outlook. This is only affecting outlook webapp. When you key in the correct password it doesn't accept neither does it give an error however if you put a wrong password it gives an error. Once you key in the correct password after the error it accepts.
