Outlook users getting 'Cannot open this item'
Last night I reset the search index for all databases on a server with the ResetSearchIndex.ps1 script. This went without a hitch, but now all users are complaining they are getting an error 'Cannot open this item' when trying to open items from at least yesterday or the day before. When I move such a mailbox to another server, the problems are gone. Restarting the search indexer or remounting a database has no effect. We are running Exchange 2007 SP3 RU6. Could resetting the search index have this result? What can be done to fix this, thinking of rebooting the server or just waiting for the crawl to finish... Problem with this last option is, I have no idea when this will be ready as the databases are quite large.

Based on my research, there is no a report that ResetSearchIndex.ps1 may cause this kind of issue.
