Outlook treatment of web calls from add-ins

I haven't been able to find much info about how Outlook handles web calls from add-ins, and I'm hoping someone can help.

For example, let's say I have a WebEx add-in installed in Outlook, and I use Firefox and IE (default) to surf the web. If the WebEx add-in tries to talk to the WebEx server, which browser settings does it use to find it's proxy, etc.? Does Outlook send out web calls using your default browser settings, or is it set per-add-in?

since outlook doesn't have the build-in feature, this is more depending on the add-in itself. you should contact the provider of the add-in.
