Outlook strange cert error

Dear All,

I am currently using godaddy public cert for client outlook connection. However, our internal user still got the cert error prompt. And it seems because it detect the cert name from exchange 2013 backend cert which is different with the public cert name I am using. I try to change the outlook anywhere internal client authentication to basic. Should I do this? Thanks

Please help...

Best Regards,

Elroy

Hello

tip:

its normal.

you need change all internal url on exchange to that domain name wich use in cert.
example: use mail.domain.com in cert
you create in internal dns server domain.com zones create dns record to point to cas server with mail.domain.com
and test.

Hi Elroy,

Thank you for your question.

Is the internal URL different from external URL.

If that, I agree with Sneffs suggestion. for example. Internal: domain.local; external: domain.com

We need to create a primary zone in DNS console and type domain.com. then choose do not allow dynamic updates , then we create A record pointing to Exchange 2013 CAS server in internal DNS on domain.com

A record: mail.domain.com

Autodiscover: Autodiscover.domain.com

If the error persist, you could post certificate error for our troubleshooting.

If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.

Best Regard,

Jim
