Outlook reminders blank

outlook 2010 - user is not getting prompt for calendar events. manually selecting view reminder window is blank.

All options under mail/calendar/advanced are correctly set.

I captured a procmon logfile. And would like to know -

Can anyone tell me the .dll associated with the Reminders Windows that should trigger an operation? Does anyone know what, in procmon, I could be looking for to pinpoint the cause of this.

I actually uninstalled outlook - but it did not change the operation. The reminder window is blank, and everything is grayed out. I set up a bunch of test calendar events and it did not populate anything.

any help would be greatly appreciated, stuck on this one.

Thanks - SJMP

Hi,

Do you use Exchange Server? If you use exchange server can you check it through OWA?

When you open the events can check whether the reminder time is set correctly in that field.

You also need to update to the latest hotfix update.

This is also a known issue when you pat

Yes reminders work fine in OWA. Reminders are set correctly. All updates are applied. SP1 is applied. But it is applied on all machines. this machine is only one with issue.

What is the hotfix update? link?

What is the SP1 issue? And is there a fix for it.

Can anyone address the default registry settings for HKCU\Software\MS\Office\14\Outlook\options\Reminders....

Hi,

Did you use cached mode? If you switch to online mode will it work?

Try creating a new profile for your account.

The problem is not with the profile. Even after clearing out the registry settings for reminder reloading outlook did not recreate them - which it should.

I uninstalled Office - deleted the entire Office/14 registry folder and re-installed. This corrected the issue. Glad I did not rebuild the profile because all of the users settings remained intact.

Thanks - Scott

I was also able to resolve this issue by deleting the local profile and just having Outlook re-create it. This was with an Exchange Server account. At first I tried a repair of Office, but that did not work. So, I uninstalled the complete office suite, removed the Office14 folder, but did not have success. It wasn't until deleting and recreating the mail profile did it work. It was strange, because OWA and this person's laptop worked just fine.
