Outlook not recognizing user permissions to public/shared folder.. exchange issue?
User's outlook account will not recogize the permission to a public calender. User has full owner permissions but her outlook shows her with just reviewer permissions. When she loads the public calender off of the server and tires to make an appointment she gets an error stating "You don't have permission to create an entry in this folder. Right-click, and then click Properties to check your permissions for the folder. See the folder owner or your administrator to change your permissions." Someone suggested I post here as it maybe an exchange issue. Have reinstalled Office suite several times, ran repair several times and a few other things that I found online but nothing seems to work. Would appreciate any help that can be given. Thanks. -Antonio

I find that reinstalling Office is a waste of time. Does the problem follow the user to another machine? If you view the permissions through the Exchange management tools, what permissions does it show? Does another user have Owner permissions and can verify through Outlook? If you remove the permission, wait two hours and then reapply the permission, what happens then ? Remember to ensure that someone is set as an owner.
