Outlook not downloading body of email, only headers.

Outlook is not downloading the body of some of the sent emails, only headers. Some of the emails in the "Sent" folder are from a previous email account that was IMAP. However, some of them also have the full email downloaded so Outlook is not consistently ignoring only the IMAP emails.

I've already checked the settings under Options-> Advanced->Send/Receive->Edit. The correct radio button is selected.

This is a new account so it won't let me attach my screen cap yet but I will post it asap.

Help is appreciated. Thanks,

Hi,

From the description, this issue only happens to the sent emails that are from a previous IMAP account, correct?

How did you move/copy the sent emails from IMAP account to current email account? Did you move/copy them from an exported PST file or something else? If this is the case, I guess that your IMAP account is set to download headers only before you transfer the data to current account. You need to reconnect to the IMAP server and set it to download full items to get the data in the emails body.

If I've misunderstood something, please feel free to let me know.

Thanks Steve,

It was happening to the sent emails that downloaded from the server automatically when I set up the new POP3 account using the same email address as the previous imap account. I did save the .pst from the imap account before starting the process but I did not use it right away to avoid duplicates.

The imap account always downloaded the full emails. It was never set up to only download headers so I'm not sure if your solution would have made a difference - though I never tried that route.  I ended up loading the .pst from the imap account (that I saved before starting the whole process) as a separate data file and then manually copy/pasted the sent emails into the POP3 account's sent folder.
