Outlook is trying to retrieve data from the Microsoft Exchange server "serverclustername.domain.local"
Hi, We run an Active/Passive cluster of Exchange Enterprise 2003 SP2 and Outlook 2003 on the client side. Recently we have been getting pop-up message saying "Outlook is trying to retrieve data rom the Microsoft Exchange server "serverclustername.domain.local" Sometimes the pop-up correlates with an increase of the SMTP traffic which peaks sometimes from 800Mbps to 1000Mbps. I have ran Exchange Best Practice Analyzer and I have found the following Critial Errors on both of the Exchange Server nodes: 1.) SystemPages set too high 2.) HeapDeCommitFreeBlock Threshold not set 3.) Physical Memory Configuration The server has 8GB of RAM the 3GB switch is in place. Does the traffic for SMTP looks out of proportion or any of the critial issues are causing this problem? Are there any other ways within Exchange or somewhere else that could help me to troubleshoot this problem?
