Outlook is not reconfiguring the mailbox settings even after fetching new autodiscover.xml


I have migrated the mailbox from one forest to different forest, Outlook is able to fetch new autodiscover.xml by Autodiscover lookup process, but the new servers settings obtained from XML files is not applied to Outlook.

We have some users for whom Outlook 2010 is configured with 2 Outlook accounts - one is internal and one is customer which is reachable via MPLS. Even in this scenario also, Outlook is fetching new autodiscover xml but it is not applying the new settings.

This is happening in machines which are in a different AD forest, which is not trusted by either Source forest and Target forest.

Any solutions ?

I want to double confirm the issue, is Outlook now connected to the new Exchange Server? How is the impact, one user or all users?

On the Outlook Client side, we can create a new profile to check if the new Autodiscover works as expected:

If it still doesn't work, please run following command on EMS:

Set-ClientAccessServer -identity <servername> -AutodiscoverServiceInternalUri https://autodiscover.contoso.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
