We have installed Office 2013.
We have made a service that connects to SharePoint, retrieves mail and convert those mails to PDF.
To convert we use a third party application, that uses Outlook to open the mail and then convert it.
But once in a while Outlook crashes and the following error appears in the Event Viewer:
An operation failed because the following certificate has validation errors:\n\nSubject Name: CN=outlook.com, OU=Microsoft Corporation, O=Microsoft Corporation, L=Redmond, S=WA, C=US\nIssuer Name: CN=Microsoft IT SSL SHA1, OU=Microsoft IT, O=Microsoft Corporation, L=Redmond, S=Washington, C=US\nThumbprint: 97CF22E92FB6BAF9162523C32E29490974804888\n\nErrors:\n\n The root of the certificate chain is not a trusted root authority..
We already installed the certificate.
If we check https://outlook.office365.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx (which we contact to retrieve the mail) in the browser for certificates it says:
Baltimore CyberTrust Root
Microsoft IT SSL SHA1
outlook.com
And they are all still valid.
In the Trusted Root Certification Authorities - Certificates folder there is also a Baltimore CyberTrust Root certificate.
Is there anything we need to install or set, to get rid of the error?
- Edit -
We followed the steps found here
We haven't restarted the SharePoint services, because we have to wait until after office times.
If it works I will update this post tomorrow.
