Outlook greyed out Free/Busy Information after 1.1.2009 - forever
Hi Folks, i'm totaly wondered about an issue we got. Recently we found out, that in exchang 2007 it's possible to set "BookingWindowInDays". We set this to 600 days for all ressources. A few weeks later (now), a user came to us and told, that he isn't able to view the free/busy information after date 01.01.2009. it's all grayed out. first thing i thought, was the "BookingWindowInDays" option. wrong thought, because the setting for this ressource is: BookingWindowInDays : 600 so, now i'm wondering, if any of you have another good idea for a solution? thanks for reply.

Hello, That is Booking Window to accept the booking request for 600 days. I think, you need to set the free/busy data length on the server from outlook. Check below article. Publish your free and busy times for others to see http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HP052818641033.aspx

Supplement: When you choose to publish 12 months of free busy information using Microsoft Outlook, the actual amount of data being published from the current date forward is 10 months Outlook stores and publishes up to 12 months of free/busy data, which is comprised of the current month, one month previous, and 10 months in the future -------------- Publishing 12 Months of Free Busy Information with Outlook

Actualy i solved it a few minutes later by myself. And it's totaly strange that you have to log in into that ressource and set the free-busy time. Special thing was: the free-busy time was already set to 12 months, but it showed just the next month until the 1.1.09 Finaly what i did was: Enable the ressource in AD Created an outlook profile Loged in into the Ressource Get to the Free/Busy option (and saw it was already filled in with 12 months) Retiped the value (12) Agreed with OK Cloesd Outlook Disable the ressource in AD And then i did the check with my personal outlook to schedule the meetingroom. Finaly it worked fine. Thx guys for your replies.

Glad you solved it By the way, you dont have to enable the resource in AD at first, set Full Access permission to the administrator account in the EMC. Then, we can login the resource mailbox by using administrators credential after created the mail profile
