Outlook exchange seems to purge calendar items after 12 months
hi We have a client that has the following problem: Client uses exchange 2000 with 2003 outlook client. It seems for at least a couple of users that their calendar seems to erase all entries over 12 months old. there seems to b e no archiving taking palce on the client. I am not so savvy at 2000 Exchange, however if you could tell me a couple of places to look, i would appreciate it Thanks JAMIE

There's nothing in Exchange that would cause this. It has to be happening on the user's client.

I agree with stodj. I'd look for myself to ensure there is no archiving configured, and also look around for PST files (still assuming there's an archive somewhere). Then I'd look to see if any other computer is logging into that account. Maybe archiving is configured to another Outlook installation that DOES have archiving enabled. You could also make sure there aren't any Outlook rules in the mix. Finally, search the users entire mailbox for the lost items - maybe they just got moved somehow.
