After checking my own sent items folder, it was empty there as well!! I am sure I did not delete any content before sending! I am running outlook 2003 on Win XP Pro through a corporateOutlook 2003 exchange server. I am at a loss, and very frustrated about losing a lot of time and effort spent. If anyone has an explanation, please reply! I am very curious... BR, Ivo

I have a client that's having similar issues, Running Exchange 2003, Windows XP Pro, and Outlook 2007. Client moves messages from Inbox or Sent Item to a sub folder. Sub folder disappears, or messages moved to sub folder disappears. Disappearing message does not show up in deleted items. It does not occur often, and I cannot duplicate this problem. It has occured only on a few select users. Do teknobase or inconnu still have the message headers and just content missing? Any help is appreciated

We have a client with the same or similar issue. They have Exchange 2003 with sp2 on SBS2003 server running Trend suite of Antivirus. When the client emailsthey can see all the text asthey type, so they then send. When the recipient recieves the email it is blank. However here is where it is odd... If the recipient replies back to the original sender, and they go to reply back then all the text reappears ( even the text in the original email ). The other thing is, it seems to be only on person at the moment that is affected by this, I haven't done a profile rebuild yet. The client is VERY reluctant to want to do this. Also it is random when it occurs, it isn't every email that seems to be having an issue. Any thoughts ?

Hi, I just experienced the same issue. This is how I fixed it. I deleted all the Outlook Rules & Alerts the user had and the problem was resolved. Hope that helps. Good luck.

hi Could you provide me more info in order to troubleshooting for the issue? 1. All clients which are running oultlook 2007 have the same issue ,or a little clients or the only client ? 2. If the clients are running Outlook 2003 client, do you have the same issue ? 3. If the clients send and receive mail by OWA , do you have the same issue 4. Do you have attached file when you send and receive mail by outlook 2007 ? 5. Which edition are you running Exchange server ? please list them to forum; 6. What production environment are you running ? single ex2007 or single ex2003, or mix 2007 and ex2003 ; please list it to forum; 7. How do you configure message format coed in your environment ? If anything is unclear ,please free time to tell me ; Hope it helpful; -Jack

Same thing happend to my profile and i managed to resolve it. it usually happens when you have Mcafee 8.0 of AVG antivirus installed with mail scanning capabilities. I removed the antivirus product, restarted computer, installed Office 2007 sp1, restarted computer, opened outlook, cleared rules and checked everything was fine. I then closed outlook and re-opened it to confirm everything was fine. Then I created client side rules again. Hope this helps

A user of mine has the exact issue. Hitting reply or forward works. But not viewing normally. I have just run into this and will try the mentioned steps. I've installed XP SP3. Recreating the email profile doesn't seem to work. I even uninstalled Office 2007 andhave reinstalled freshly. No resolve. We have Symantec Antivirusversion 7000. I disabled it and still nothing. If I change the message to Plain Textpeople can see the text. She'll have to deal with not sending pictures. There is nothing else that works. I have decided to change out the entire system she's using to another brand new system, just for good measure. Her current one is kind of old, but still, that's no excuse. We'll see if she still has HTML problems after. I'll report back.

Add PCtools to the list as well. This stripping of message content but leting the message through is annoying. I now leave a copy on my webmail which displays the message fine.
