Outlook doesnt have permission to open calendar shared using PFDAVAdmin
Outlook doesnt have permission to open shared calendar which is shared using PFDAVAdmin. Reviewer permission is given to mailbox calendar. DACL is good. Reviewer permission is given to a security Group. This security group members are not able view the calendar.

U have to add permissions also on the free/busy folder if u are using PFDAVadmin, so that the user can open the shared calendar and view the items.

What console, PFDAVAdmin?
U can correct the permissions directly from Outlook, if pfdavadmin is having issues.

U can return it to the default values from Outlook, also i did notice that the were issues when the user was using Outlook 2003 in setting their Calendar premissions and then using pfdavadmin, i would sugest to use Outlook to return the permissions to the
default seetings for the user who is having the issue in pfdavadmin.

Hi,
Does the problem only happen to one mailbox Calendar? If yes, I recommend you try to use outlook to share this mailbox Calender:
1. Open the mailbox by using Outlook.
2. Click Folder List button. See the following figure.
3. Right click Calendar and choose properties.
4. In permission tab, select the users, in "Permission Level", select "Reviewer".
Then test to see if the issue persists. Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread. Thanks Gen Lin-MSFT

Dear Gen Lin, We have lot of users, so it is better to do it using PFDAVAdmin right? Thats why i am planning to repair the settings in PFDAVAdmin.

Hm dont know why u got an error again, return the defaut values in Outlook 2007 then, but just remember that Default has only Free/Busy time permission when accessing the perrmission tav form Outlook.
I hope u tried this on a single user. Anyway using PFDAVAdmin u have to add permissions for accessing the calendar folder, and the free/busy folder.
Send the results!

Ya, Mr. Zarko as per your suggestion I gave permission to FreeBusy Data Folder also. And nw all users are able to have reviewer permissions. I tried for a single user first. But I found that normally when you give permissions to all mailbox using Set Calendar
permission in Tools Tab of PFDAVAdmin, both the FreeBusy data folder(Inside user mailbox) and
Calendar folder (inside Mailbox of User-->Top of Information Store) shud get permissions. But in my case, the permissions was only applying to Calendar folder. So I reapplied permissions again by using Tools --> Set Calendar
Permissions in PFDAVAdmin. And now everything is working fine. The idea of Mr. Zarko to give folder permission to FreeBusy Data folder helped to solved the problem. Zarko, thanks again.
