Outlook creates Phone contacts from Auto-fill list

Hello,

I have a problem where a client new phone. When I added his active exchange account all worked fine, but he got 1600 contacts synced.

Ive looked at it for a while now and came to the conclusion that it has to sync Auto-fill email addresses and creating contacts for them.

We are using Office 2013 professional and Exchange 2007. Is there a way to remove auto-fill contacts (the users dont want his autocomplete list removed), or have anyone else stumbled upon this issue?

Kind Regards

Hi,

From the description, you added the user's Exchange account on his phone, and the 1600 contacts got created on the phone, correct? If this is the case, does the user use an Android phone, a Windows phone or an iPhone?

On Outlook side, the only method I can think out is to disable auto-complete feature and remove auto-complete entries. Please check on your phone mail setting and see if there is any options to control this behavior. You can also post your question in a phone forum to check if there are any solutions for this issue.

If I've misunderstood something, please feel free to let me know.
