Hi,

Have you installed KB2889923?

Please run Outlook in Safe Mode:

Press Win + R, type "outlook.exe /safe" in the blank box, press Enter.

If there is no such issue in Outlook Safe Mode, please disable the "Outlook Social Connector" add-in then run Outlook in normal mode again. I've seen some similar issues caused by the update KB2889923, disabling this add-in can be a workaround. Anyway, I still need to do more research to know whether this KB is the culprit.

You can also run "sfc /scannow" in the command line with Administrator permission, this will scan all protected system files and replace the incorrect versions with the correct Microsoft versions. After the scan is complete, check the result.

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately Outlook does not launch in safe mode. It wont let me do a Detect & Repair because I am on a Terminal Serer and sfc /scannow did not find any problems.

Hi,

Sorry for replying late, I've been quite busy.

It seems the issue occurred after the update, do you remember which one was installed before the issue?

For such crash issue, you may consider to perform a clean boot to determine whether background programs are interfering with Outlook.

Thank you. This issue is closed. I had to remove my profile, delete the data files and start again. Everything was up in the cloud so all I lost was time.
