hello, when I click search in the contacts it does not find the name although I can see it listed any idea pls

Can you give us your exact stepsw for these search attempts? Is the contact in your contacts folder, or is it in the global address list?

yes it is in the contacts folder

And how did you try the search? What is the contact information, and what did you use as your search string?

just searching for the name or the surname gives nothing found although I can see it displayed underneath. I searched by using the search box just above the main contacts window

And the specific contact information and search string are ...? If we don't have the full info, it's harder to assist.

Hi, What's the version of your outlook? Please a new outlook profile for testing. ALso test the problem in outlook online mode: a. Click Tools->Options->Mail setup tab->E-mail Accounts. b. Highlight the outlook account, click Change. c. Uncheck the "Use Cached Exchange mode" checkbox and restart the outlook. What's result? will try to uncheck that however what I can tell you is that this contact folder was imported from another mail system and entering any Name or Surname will not find anything. On the other hand there is another contact folder which is working as normal
