Outlook configuration.
I currently have about 60 users using laptops with Outlook. They are configured to connect to our ageing Webmail server. There are also about 450 users just using webmail (no Outlook at all). We intend to build an Exchange 2010 server in the next few weeks and install Outlook. My question is: Will the current Laptop Outlook users' settings get corrupt with the inclusion of Exchange i.e. will AD prep overwrite any existing settings? Thanks in adavance T.

You will be safe. Exchange 2010 is built to coexist with Exchange 2003 and 2007. The schema extension is part of the process. Just installing Exch 2010 will not effect current users until you start pointing services to the Exch 2010 servers. Your Outlook users will continue as normal.
