Outlook anywhere unable to connect
I have outlook anywhere configured on our outlook 2007 clients and OWA enabled on exchange 2003 Ent...... I have a handful about 6 of these users that are unable to connect via outlook anywhere... it just wont connect... i ran outlook /rpcdiag, and in the status window the first connect shows to one of our Domain Controllers, following that, another connection keeps trying to connect to the email server looks like its timing out..cause it keeps disappearing, then reappearing. then finally just doesnt connect. I used Outlook anywhere myself and (connect with no problem, slower than usual though), using the /rpcdiag switch, and and the i get 3 connectionswhich are all to the mail server connection 1 is type is Public Folder, connection 2type mail, connection 3 type is mail tooAt the forest level they have public folder disabled, so we dont use public folders. We never used them, so i dont believe this to be an issue. my question, why is the status window with the people who cannot connect try to access a Domain controller first.... ? the problem users have no problem connecting via OWA via the browser...... I talked to the IT guru's at the forest level, and they tell me, "IF the user can access email via OWA, then their shouldnt be an issue, because outlook client works the same way as OWA, it just as an interface"... So that was useless information to me..... I also added two of the problem accounts to Administors Group to rule out any permission issues.. did make a difference..their outlook client works fine in the office too. Please helpThanks

What algorithm does ituse to decide where to send a connection?---Rich MatheisenMCSE+I, Exchange MVP--- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
