Outlook Web App

I am connected to Microsoft Exchange using the Outlook Web App for my work email. Originally, I had set it up to link with my gmail address, allowing whatever messages received on the Outlook Web App to be sent to my gmail account as well.

Now I want to simply turn off that feature, messages received in Outlook, stay in Outlook only, but I cannot find a step by step instructional list on how to do just that.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Miss Rachel

Hi Miss Rachel,

There are several ways to achieve that, do you remember how did you enable the autoforwarding?

Two common ways:

1. Outlook Rule -> Check one by one Lookup for the autoforwarding rule if any and disable it.

OWA:

Use rules in Outlook Web App to automatically forward messages to another account

Outlook:

Automatically forward my messages to another e-mail account

2. AD\Exchange backend Forwarding.  Remove it.

Configure email forwarding for a mailbox

At the top of the page, select Settings Settings: update your profile, install software and connect it to the cloud > Options, and then select one of the following:
Account > Connected accounts OR Mail > Accounts > Connected accounts
Do one or both of the following:
To change the email address your mail should be forwarded to, in the Forward my email to box, edit the email address.
To change the setting for keeping a copy of messages in your mailbox, select or clear the Keep a copy of forwarded messages in Outlook Web App check box.
Now Save

P.S. Your reply is appreciated, however it did not solve the issue (I may need to go through the IT guys to change any settings). I only see the option to  "Mark as answer" and not "Vote As Helpful"...

Hi Miss,

Yes, you need to reach the IT guys for this, if you don't have access to Exchange servers. "Vote As Helpful" is the triangle next to each post "Vote", hover over to see, click to Vote.

Once your issue is resolved and you figure out how it was done, please come back and mark it as answer.
