Outlook Today stopped showing information

Hi,

I recently installed a plugin for Outlook, SideKick by HubSpot.

I didn't use it very much, so I uninstalled it quickly again.

Now, Outlook Today page isn't showing any information at all.

I've tried several things to fix it:

- uninstall and clean install = no luck

- uninstall using fixit-tool and re-install = no luck

- deleted all Outlook profiles including datafiles and re-install = no luck

- running SCANPST.EXE to fix it = no luck

Now I'm stuck with a Outlook Today page, that isn't showing anything and I don't know how to fix it.

Please help :)

I use Office 365 Small Business Premium, Outlook 2013 32-bit, version 15.0.4753.1002

Kind Regards

Magnus

Hi Magnus,

Please check if you have Outlook Today home page enabled. To do this, right-click on the top level of your mailbox (where it shows somebody@domain.com), select Data File Properties > Home Page tab and make sure you have the 'Show home page by default for this folder' option enabled.

If the option has already been enabled, please also try clicking the 'Restore Defaults' button, click OK and then test the issue again.

Please let me know the results.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for taking the time to help me :)

I've already checked that the Outlook Today page is enabled and tried to Restore Defaults - both with no luck.

Also, I've downloaded and run OffCAT but it didn't do the trick either.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks.

Hi Steve,

I have still not managed to fix the problem and I'm getting really frustrated :-(

I've tried to manually change the REG-KEY found here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\Outlook\Today and still no luck. It won't show anything on the darn Outlook Today page!

The only thing left that I can figure, is a hard reset of my computer. And I REALLY don't want to do that!

Can you help?

Apologize for the delay. How do you view the Outlook Today page? Do you view it via clicking the top-level folder of the default data file? If so, please also try viewing the Outlook Today page using the Outlook Today icon on the Quick Access Toolbar to see the result. If you don't have the Outlook Today icon enabled on QAT, we can add it via File > Options > Quick Access Toolbar.

If above doesn't work, please also try copying the OUTLWVW.DLL file from a working computer to your computer and then test it again. The OUTLWVW.DLL file is stored in the following location:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\1033

Hope this helps.

Hi again,

Thank you for your reply.

Unfortunately, none of the suggestions worked :-( Also copied a fresh OUTLWWW.DLL from a completely different computer - no luck!

What is weird though, is that I setup a different user account on the same computer, opened Outlook which then ran the Outlook first setup-thing, I connected to the same Exchange account and voil, Outlook Today is showing perfectly???

I switched back to my default user account, opened Outlook and.... still showing nothing!

Well, I know that both user accounts uses the same OUTLWWW.DLL so I can rule out the DLL-file.

I'm sorry to be so difficult but I hope we can solve the puzzle :-)
