Outlook Reply separator (gray line) disappear after send

Hallo,

the same Problem was reportet here w/o Answers (maybe the wrong forum?): Message reply divider line disappears on send

When you click on reply you can see the reply sepparator normaly, but after sending you can look at this mail in send folder and the sepparator is missing.

This occurs in Outlook 2013 and 2010 (with the same mail), so it must have to do with the format in this specific mails.
It happens with mails from gmail in general but also with customer mails (non gmail).

This Bug is very annoying for us, because our central disclaimer solution is looking for this separator line to put the disclaimer at the right position.

Why is Outlook doing this?

Hi,

Sorry for delay.

This separator line is a border, just styled. Save the email as an html file and you can see it in the source. For example:

<div style='border:none;border-top:solid #B5C4DF 1.0pt;padding:3.0pt 0in 0in 0in'>

For your question, please check the message header to get more details about this problematic issue. Or use message trace to know the message deliver, for your refernce: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/jj200712(v=exchg.150).aspx
Meanwhile, we can check the message encoding setting in Outlook, please refer to: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb310794(v=exchg.150).aspx#Outlook

Hi,

i know that it is only an html formating, thats why external disclaimer software have to guess where the reply ends and the original mail starts, there is no standart flag.

Our disclaimer software is looking in the source for "<div style="border:none;border-top:solid #E1E1E1 1.0pt;padding:">" for an Outlook 2013, and for 2010/2007 it has to look for "<div style='border:none;border-top:solid #B5C4DF 1.0pt;padding:'>".

The encoding settings are html for Outlook and unicode (utf8) for MIME and Non-MIME for remote domains.

Replying an mail from an gmail Account with Outlook as Client also cause the separator to disappear after sending.

I have done some more tests with save as html. I click on reply and when i'm in "editing Mode" i have save this draft as html. I done this with an problematic mail and with an "normal" mail, in both cases i can see the reply separator visually while i'm in "editing mode", but when i look in the source i can only see the "<div style=..." in the normal mail, not in the problematic reply one.

So this not only a visual problem, the DIV border row is missing in the source!
