Outlook Out of Office Internal & External Messages
We have an issue where the same Internal Out of office message is being sent to external addresses even though the External Message is different. We use Exchange 2007, Outlook 2010 and OWA. Can anybody advise why this is happening?

Hi Is the issue with single/few users. if so then i would suggest try deleting OOO hidden rules with MAPI Editor like mfcMAPI . and the instructions are here Also note that the OOO auto-reply is sent only once to any sender untill its reactivated. Thanks

Tested on different Storage Groups and Exchange Servers. No solution yet. I still have a few tests to run during a quiet period. Thanks for your help. Regards Noel Prendergast

The below information could help you... Verify the settings: Under Exchange 2007, "Global Settings" --> "Hub Transport" --> "Remote Domains" --> "Defaults * " and then right click on "Properties". The settings has to be as mentioned below, "Allow external out-of-office messages, and out-of-office messages set by Outlook 2003 or earlier clients or sent by Exchange Server 2003 or earlier servers". Thanks Muralidharan I was reluctant to test that solution due to the Global nature of it. Anyway I made the change and tested it and now both External and Internal Out of office messages are being sent correctly. Thanks again.Regards Noel Prendergast
