Outlook OAB issues and delegate address list issues
Hi. I have been looking for a solution to this but i cant seem to find one. I have setup address list seggregation in our organization, which works great. The only issues i am having now is the Offline address list. I actually modified the AD attribute for each users which works great as well. But when Outlook download the offline address list, somehow it defaults to the "First" address list listed alphabetically instead of the GAL and when I go to delegates the address list i can only see is the Address list that OAB is defaulted to. Hope this question makes sense. Everything works find in none cache mode.

You need to control access to the address lists using permissionshttp://support.microsoft.com/kb/312287/

If you open Outlook for someone in cache mode and go to Send/recieve, download address book, what is listed in the Choose Address Book box at the bottom of the page that pops up?TBrennan

The first offline address book on the list arranged alphabetically :)my workaround for this is to change the default address list to search the Global Address List and default set to GAL by showing the GAL as "show in the address list first" on the address book option.hope that make sense
