Outlook Delegation help

Looking for help,

I am stuck in much wearied problem.

My CEO's outlook calendar is shared with his EA (executive Assistant) and she is the delegate for managing his meetings/appointment and permission set is Editor.

Since last more than 2 years it was working fine as expected.

How she use book the meetings is she use to open her calendar and from there she used to add CEO's id in attendees by doing this meeting requests used to update/reflect in both calendars (her and CEOs)

But this has stopped suddenly, now if she doing so then only her calendar getting updated and not the CEOs , I mean meeting invites are not reflecting CEOs shared calendar.

I tried below to fix the issue but no change

  1.       Reconfigured her outlook profile
  2.       Unchecked cache mode in Outlook

Please suggest , if any links are there

Hello TheAtulA,

A couple of questions

1.) which version of outlook and exchange are you using?

2.) Has anything changed recently that may have caused this issue? (office upgrade, etc)

3.) Have you checked her rights to delegate ?

This link may also be of help to you.

Depending on the version of outlook, exchange, and owa, i've found that sometimes you have to login to the users   (CEO) OWA, and assign delegation or rights at that location, regardless of what settings are on in exchange.

good luck and i hope these help!

Hi,

According to your description, my understanding is that:

1. UserA is the delegate for the Boss with Editor permission to Boss calendar.

2. When UserA created a meeting request in her own calendar and added Boss as an attendee, then send the meeting request to Boss.

3. The meeting didnt update in Boss calendar.

If that is the case, please check whether the UserA send updates to the Boss when there is any meeting changes. Also confirm the meeting changes in Boss Outlook client instead of viewing the shared calendar in UserAs side.
