Outlook Connection Status

Can anyone explain to me why Outlook does not show all connections in the 'hidden' connection status window?

Hold CTRL and Right Click on the Outlook notification icon, select Connection Status.

This shows me all of the TCP/IP connections I have to an Exchange server but doesn't list any of the HTTPS connections Outlook makes for:

Autodiscover, MailTips, FreeBusy, Out of Office, Offline Address book download, etc...

In learning Outlook/Exchange over the years, supporting these 'other' HTTPS connections that Outlook makes in addition to the TCP/IP connections it makes that do show up in Connection Status has lead to a lot of support hours with networks/firewalls/web proxies...

I don't think there is anyone who could answer why, it's just designed by Microsoft engineers.
