Outlook Cannot Open Default Folders - After Migration

Hi

We currently have a 2010 / 2013 co-existence and weekend by weekend are migrating users from 2010 to 2013. Half are done.

When a user is on a 2010 mailbox, I can setup the mailbox using autodiscover on outlook no problem. I then migrate the mailbox and you get the standard "administrator has made some changes please close and reopen" when re-opening it never connects. If i delete the profile and try and setup again using autodiscover it fails and won't auto-setup. If I setup manually it would work but then when opening Outlook you get "cannot open set of folders".

Up until recently they migrated no problem and when I move the mailbox back to 2010 it works ok again.

Outlook anywhere is all setup correctly, I have the correct certificate assigned and it is a trusted one.

Any ideas?

So this isn't exactly a migration, it's a transition in that you're in the same organization, right?  Can you connect Outlook to a newly created Exchange 2013 mailbox?

Hi,

Check the Test Email AutoConfiguration Status in Outlook by:

a. While Outlook is running, click the CTRL key and then right-click the Outlook icon in the system tray and then select Test Email Autoconfiguration.

b. Confirm that your email address is in the address field, uncheck Use Guessmart and secure Guessmart authentication boxes. Then click the Test button.

Does the autodiscover works properly?

Thanks,

Is it happening to all the users migrated to 2013?

So currently we use our 2013 boxes as front ends for all MBX servers. When the mailbox sits on 2010 MBX server I can setup the account externally with auto discover absolutely fine. But when migrated to 2013 mbx server the auto discover fails
