Outlook Calendar invites question

Hi

Simple question here, I can't actually change the required settings myself as we have no access to our exchange server and have to request changes from an internal services company. I just want to be sure of what to ask when I ask them.

Basically, the situation is that staff will book a resource (like a room) and then send invites as that resource, rather than themselves. Basically how do you stop them being able to do this? It causes problems when the meeting is moved and the meeting is attended by external parties who think the meeting is still going ahead in the room previously booked.

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

From the description, do you want to disable the direct booking for all room mailboxes?

Please check this article:

Please Note: Since the web site is not hosted by Microsoft, the link may change without notice. Microsoft does not guarantee the accuracy of this information.

In addition, please make sure that you have set the AllowConflicts parameter to $false.

Hope this helps.
