Outlook Autoconfiguration Results - Missing Exchange HTTP entries
I have Exchange 2007 SP1 on WS2008 running in my lab in conjunction with Outlook 2007 SP1. I configured Autodiscovery in my lab and found some interesting results when comparing the Autodiscovery results between my lab and our corporate network. When running the Outlook 2007 SP1 E-mail Autoconfiguration tester in my lab I see a complete list of entries for Exchange RPC (availability, OOF, OAB, UM) with the proper URLs. However, under Exchange HTTP I only have an entry for OAB. On our corporate network I see the full compliment for Exchange HTTP (availability, OOF, OAB, UM). Did I miss a configuration step for Exchange HTTP autoconfiguration?

Hi, Please understand that generally, the internal URL (RPC) is configured by Microsoft Exchange Setup. However, the external URLs (RPC over HTTP) must be configured by using the virtual directory cmdlet for each component. For your reference: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb201695(EXCHG.80).aspx Thus, please run the following command to check whether the External URL has been configured: For Availability Server & OOF Get-webservicesvirtualdirectory |fl externalurl For OAB: Get-oabvirtualdirectory |fl externalurl For UM: Get-UMVirtualDirectory |fl externalurl Mike

Excellent, that did the trick. I configured the internal URLs but forgot the external URLs had a different configuration.
