Outlook Archive Issues.
Good morning all. I am getting ready to deploy Outlook 2010 to all of my users. I a GPO that will change the default path for the PST file. I wanted to know if there is a way to change the actual name of the PST using a policy or anything. I would really like to break up the PST files per year.. When 2012 comes, have it push a new setting so the archives start saving to 2012.pst, etc. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Example !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! \\server\archives\jack\2010.pst Next year I want a new pst created. \\server\archives\jack\2011.pst So the directory now has two files. 2010.pst | 2011.pst I am unaware if this would work or not. I cant find anything about it, but figured I would ask.

So the admin template for Office 2010 does not give you that option? Jose; The admin template allows me to change the file location, but not the file name itself. I tried putting in the name within the file path location as well. Path name: \\server\archives\jack\2011.pst This creates the following: \\server\archives\jack\2011.pst\archive.pst

Please understand that Group Policy settings for Office 2010 which will require the Windows Server related knowledge which we do not have enough resource. Thank you for your understanding. For your reference, I have enclosed the Windows Server forum link below: http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/category/windowsserver Thanks, Novak Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
