Outlook Anywhere DNS
I am setting up Outlook anywhere for a client using Exchange 2007. My question is relating to DNS. If company domain is mail.abc.com, I am requesting two new dns names outlookanywhere.abc.com and autodiscover.abc.com. Do i get these dns entrees to point to the same ip address used for mail.abc.com? Then does port (80 & 443) on firewall just need to be open? Second part is what internal dns entries are needed?

If it's the CAS then you're okay. >Then does port (80 & 443) on firewall just need to be open? You normally don't need port 80. At least not for Exchange. >Second part is what internal dns entries are needed? You have an internal and external DNS? Use the same name for both, just with different IP addresses. --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP --- Rich Matheisen MCSE+I, Exchange MVP
