Outlook Anywhere
Hi, how do you make a local autodiscover.xml file for a client that is logging on to a computer using Outlook anywhere? Also, I added to registry edits and they appear to search for the local file first, but I am not sure how to create the .xml. This user has a different domain and cannot use the OOF function via outlook anywhere unless they right click on outlook everytime and choose run as and choose the other user.

Note: I have not tried this, but see if it helps:Outlook 2007 & Auto Discoverhttps://mysite.uchicago.edu/personal/bsdad_tdenormandie/Blog/Lists/Posts/Post.aspx?List=686fd16f-3c7f-4bd4-b3d1-fd40ff9b6a89&ID=55 See also section 3 here: There are 4 ways to get autodiscover to function:1. Set the SCP to the url of the autodiscover server (this will work for domain joined machines)2. DNS/HTTP3. Deploy an Xml file to the users machine which also requires registry changes on the client4. DNS SRV records (requires Outlook 2007 SP1) http://www.exchange-genie.com/2007/07/exchange-2007-autodiscover-service-part-1/MCTS: Messaging | MCSE: S+M | Small Business Specialist

Yes, thanks for the information. I will try adding it to the client machines, think the biggest issue is machines not on the domain.
