Hi ALL,

My environment there are two sites. Internet Facing Site A and Non-Internet Facing Site B.

The mailbox that are on the Site A it's working via Outlook AnyWhere.

But, the mailbox on the Site B isn't work.

I configure Outlook AnyWhere (from internet) to connect https, click in check name and mailbox its OK.

I type user and password and the mailbox authentication on the CAS Server (Proxying), configuration with success.

When I open Outlook client, show this message:

Cannot start microsoft outlook. cannot open a the outlook window. the set of folders cannot be opened. you must connect to Microsoft Exchange.

OBS:

I configured Mailbox Database (Site B) RPCClientAccessServer to CAS Internet Facing (Site A).

Set-MailboxDatabase "mailbox" -RPCClientAccessServer "cas.internet.facing"

Any idea?

I believe to be a issue with environment configuration. Because, a mailbox on the Site A, it's possible connect via Outlook AnyWhere and a mailbox on the Site B isn't possible.

I suggest we check the RpcProxy ValidPorts

1. On the RPC proxy server, start Registry Editor (Regedit).

2. In the console tree, locate the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Rpc\RpcProxy

3. In the details pane, right-click the ValidPorts subkey, and then click Modify.

4. In Edit String, in the Value data box, type the following information:

ExchangeServer:6001-6002; ExchangeServerFQDN:6001-6002; ExchangeServer:6004; ExchangeServerFQDN:6004

Note:

ExchangeServer is the NetBIOS name of your Exchange server.

ExchangeServerFQDN is the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of your Exchange server. If the FQDN that is used to access the server from the Internet differs from the internal FQDN, you must use the internal FQDN.

[Check the 6004 port settings in registry]

Before you enter into core troubleshooting. Here are some questionnaires which we would like to know before we step further.

1) As you mentioned Site1 is working absolutely fine. Are you able to configure a user of Site 2 from Site 1 network.

2) How is your sites and services configured?

3) What is the Exchange Server version (2010 or 2013)? And what is the service packs?

4) Hope there is no firewall rules blocking from site 1 to site 2.

Please share more information
