Outlook 2013 won't connect to exchange server work email.

Hi

I'm trying to put my work email on my home PC Outlook 2013.

I am Running Windows 7 Home Premium and Outlook 2013 is a part of Office 365.

I have been able to connect to the Outlook at work and can connect to OWA from anywhere.

However when I try to do this at home it comes up with a multitude of errors ranging from:

  • The name cannot be resolved. The action cannot be completed
  • Your server and mailbox names cannot be resolved
  • The action cannot be completed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.
  • The name cannot be resolved. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.

To resolve this I have tried the following article:

And many other fixes such as trying to reinstall Net Framework 4.5, trying encrypted and unencrypted access to exchange server, connecting through HTTP.

I have tried this on my other home PC as well and the problem is the same.

I do not have access to the server to make any changes on that as this is a work email and I don't have access to it.

If anyone could point in the direction of a fix to this problem it would be greatly appreciated.

Many Thanks

Hi,

I noticed that the issue persists on other home PCs. Please confirm whether other users can connect to their mailbox in their home PC.

If others also encounter the same issue, please contact your Exchange administrator to confirm the Outlook Anywhere settings in server side. And we can run the Microsoft Remote Connectivity Tool to check the Outlook connectivity with your account:

https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/

If the issue is related to server side, we can provide the Tool results to ask a question in Exchange Online (Office 365) forum for more help:
